Lion TT Archambeau had Lion Jimmie Giles passing the pot. We sang Happy, Happy Birthday to Lion Mike Middleton. Late fines
were assessed to Lions
Oscar Smith, Pete Copes, and Trey Gleason. Those board members (including
the TT) who missed yesterday’s board meeting were assessed fines…Lion Bryan Self paid his $1.50 tax on winning last week’s attendance
prize. Then, the TT launched into the
Shreveport Trivia questions. Another
great session – thanks to Lion
Archambeau and members…
PROGRAM: Lion Bryan Self
introduced fellow Lion Larry LaBorde. Larry’s topic today: The Banking Crisis of 1933 . For those of us who have been lucky enough
to hear Larry’s lessons in history, you know it is very informative
– however, my lack of shorthand and stenography skills leave me short on being
able to do a review which will lend justice to his presentation. He also presented: Just What is My Net
Worth? Thanks to Lion
Larry for his presentations.
Ticket Drawings: The $5.00 red ticket winners were: Lions Trey Gleason and Steve Davitt .
BLUE TICKET: Lion Rubye Davitt failed
to pull the Queen (she did get the Queen of spades).
