NOTES/Remarks:

Yesterday’s BOARD MEETING news:

Lion Mike Middleton asked the NSLC to be the sponsoring club for a new South Bossier City Lions Club.  It seems everyone is in agreement to it.  The information/recruiting meeting will be at the Arena Barbecue Restaurant (next to CenturyTel Arena) on February 3rd.  Please let anyone you know who lives in/near South Bossier City / Parish / or even southeast Shreveport of the pending club.

Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Bill Archambeau had Lion Pete Copes passing the bread basket-pot.  He did a little nit picking and then lots of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire questions were asked --- and received a few answers.  Lion Jimmie Giles told a joke and the Tailtwister came back with another joke.  – Another great session.

Program:  Lion Paul Little presented Kristen Johnson with the local Louisiana Association for the Blind.  The organization has evolved into producing many products since its 1930 days of making brooms.  Paper products and other business related the Association produces items.  It seems LAB is hard at work in fulfilling their mission of providing rehabilitation, vocation and recreation. – training , services and employment for the blind is their successful mission.  They are also working to develop a low-vision training program.  Maybe you need items they produce – www.lablind.com

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Gloria Kennedy and Robert Schwartz.

BLUE TICKET: Lion Bill Archambeau failed to draw the Queen of Hearts, but he did get $5.00 for pulling a joker – over $330 next week.

Attendance Prize: Lion Paul Little collected the kitty.
