Program: Lion Oscar
Smith introduced his lovely
daughter, Rachelle
Smith. Rachelle is a sales representative with Novartis
Pharmaceuticals. She has a vast
education and professional background –which started with her graduation from
C.E. Byrd High School which prefaced her first college degree from
LSU-Shreveport. She gave a presentation
on “mitigating factors for sales reps”.
Due to legal ramifications, an evolution of the role of sales reps is
changing. “What Does it Take for
Pharmaceutical Sales?” – Aptitude for Science; Drive; Competitive spirit;
Persistence, Resiliency and Lots of Patience.
“How Do Pharmaceutical Sales Calls Differ?” We seek to influence and
impact physician prescribing behavior; There is no “signing on the
dotted line”; Relationship – focus (Trust, Credibility, Access [the key into
the door]); Consultative selling (partner in patient education and treatment);
well, her presentation evolved into a wave of questions for Rachelle – she fielded the questions extremely well and
everyone left today’s meeting with lots of good information about the
pharmaceutical world --- Thanks to Rachelle
and Lion Oscar.
