PROGRAM: Lion Oscar Smith introduced Mr. Gerry Robichaux, NW Louisiana Senior Olypmics Committee.            He began with competitive trivia about the Senior Olympics – the contestants were Lions Peck, Gore and Trey Gleason – Trey won the prize book Wild about Game Birds.  Gerry spoke about the organization and the different events involved – Northwest Area is one of the better of ten Louisiana regions.  The first year, it started with 21 events.  Those age 50 or older are eligible to compete within their appropriate age group.  He made a point about the fun, fitness and friendship one may garner from participating in the Olympics – it should make anyone a happier more fit person and a different quality of life.
