Robbie Raiford had with her Scott Hall, manager of Classic Solutions (a nearby
business). Scott is a former
Bossier High School Leo – and maybe a future North Shreveport / South Bossier
Lion.
NOTES/Remarks:
- Lions Scott Harkey and Patricia Schwartz are
heading up the Irish Auction for 2004.
It is tomorrow, Friday, March 19th at Sword Sports on
North Market. We need lots
of people to participate and need lots of items to be auctioned. Please acquire items with a value of at
least $50 each. Smaller items can
be used as door prizes. IF YOU’VE NOT GIVEN YOUR NAME TO LION PATRICIA AS A
PARTICIPANT, PLEASE CALL HER NOW.
Lion PDG Craig Kennedy thanked Francis (Bear) Grigsby (in
absentia) for his donation of a $50 eating certificate to Bear’s – a great
place to eat and meet. Lion Patricia stopped in on a whim
and asked Blakey’s Auto Center on Benton Road for a donation –
results: $125 car detailing certificate and several door prizes.
- Lion Stuart Reeks will
be the Rose Day chairperson. The
date will be May 7th – please calendar it sell roses and come
help to deliver. TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR LION STUART.
- Southfield School received the great services on
the NSLC on Wednesday in which 72 children were screened. Special thanks to those who did it: Lions
Robert and Patricia Schwartz; Craig and Gloria Kennedy; Hubert Gleason;
and Jimmie Giles - THANKS TO
ALL FORYOUR HELP FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
- A reception is being
planned for
Sunday March 21st– CORRECTION AS THE DATE IS MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2004 -- from 7-9:00 p.m. at the State Exhibit Museum. The guest will be the granddaughter of Helen Keller. Please plan to attend and show our appreciation for her traveling to Shreveport. - Lion
Mike Middleton has been contacted by
the Shreveport Sports for another group get-together – Process in
works.

Lion TT Bill Archambeau had Lion Bryan
Self passing the plate. Just a few
fines and then he gave the floor to the program chairman.
Program: Lion Scott
Harkey’s speaker today had an
appearance problem, so, he gave each member an opportunity to tell about
themselves – anything they wanted. It
