NOTES/Remarks: Lion Hubert Gleason has the program next week (4/3) – a mystery speaker

The April 10th regular meeting will be held at Northwood High School.
We will pay for our own lunches as usual, but, this will help us to meet our 59 NHS Leo Club members.
WE NEED TO PROVIDE AN EXACT HEADCOUNT BY MARCH 27TH – LET THE PRESIDENT KNOW IF YOU WILL ATTEND.

Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Bill Archambeau fined the President for a late start but still got Lions Scott Harkey and Libby Gleason for not being here on the hour.  The Tailtwister then got into the trivia questions and got lots of money…

Program:  Lion Stuart Reeks introduced the General Manager for the Shreveport Sports – our new minor league team – Mr. Brian Viselli.  Brian noted the teams which make-up the league: From Texas – Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Rio Grande Valley, San Angelo, Edinburg and Fort Worth.  Other areas include: Alexandria, La; Jackson, Ms.; and Ozark from Springfield, Mo.  Brian’s group will be bringing “fun” and “credibility” back to the Fairgrounds Field.  Admission into the park will be $3.00 – there will be a kids’ 12 and under to be a part of “the knot hole” team – for them, all home games for $20 for the entire year.  The website for the new team is www.shreveportsports.com .  The players make $700-$2,300 per month – it will be a four month season of 48 home games.

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Stuart Reeks  and Bob Allen.

BLUE TICKET:  Lion Stuart Reeks got the chance and failed to “pull” the lady.

Attendance Prize: Lion Larry LaBorde would have won – but he wasn’t at the meeting.
