NOTES/Remarks:

Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Bill Archambeau had Lion Bryan Self passing the pot.  Late: Lions Oscar Smith, Pete Copes and Robert Schwartz.  Lion Cindy Fortson’s NSLC anniversary is this month.  Lion Patricia Schwartz remembered that Lion Reeks was eating red beans and rice at yesterday’s Board Meeting; members who were supposed to be at yesterday’s Board Meeting were fined if they were not there; then lots of television trivia questions with lots of joking and quipping made for a great TT session.

Program:  Lion Stuart Reeks introduced Mr. Richard Stewart of the Caddo Parish 9-1-1 Center.  Caddo 911 went on-line in 1989.  They receive about 700 calls per day and calls are taken at a rate about every 6-7 seconds.  If you have to use a cellular phone to call 9-1-1, be sure you provide your exact location where help is needed since the ability to use GPS is not on-line for a few more years.  There was a lengthy Q&A session and Richard gave several actual stories about 9-1-1 calls and dealings.  Several years ago, the Caddo 9-1-1 Center purchased the 800 MHz radio system for local agencies and departments.

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Robert Schwartz and Scott Harkey.

BLUE TICKET: Guest Vickie Wood failed to pull the Queen from the almost new deck.
