Opening: Presiding: 1st Vice-President Lion Stuart Reeks; Prayer: Lion Jimmie Giles; Leading the song was Lion Mike Middleton with Lion Robbie Raiford on the piano with Lion Jimmie Giles playing the cymbals.

Next week’s program: Lions Craig and Gloria Kennedy will host Ms. Beverly Anderson, Caddo Council on Aging. May 29th Lion Steve Davitt will have General Peyton Cole, USAF (retired).

VISITORS: Lion Cindy Fortson who is a member of the Summer Grove Lions Club and is transferring to the North Shreveport Lions Club with Lion Paul Little as her sponsor.

NOTES/REMARKS:

The Board met yesterday but there wasn’t a whole lot of business to conduct, so, there is more room to announce the:

This is the first printing of the list. the regular meeting on may 22nd
will allow additional nominations from the floor.

the deciding vote will be held during the general meeting on may 29th.

Tailtwisting: Lion TT Bill Archambeau went into action with Lion Gabby doing the collecting. Several Lions were fined for being late. Lots of trivia questions followed by a barrage of jokes from all over the room. An extended TT session was held since no speaker showed up for the program. It turned out to be a great, fun networking time. Lion Dan Delaney received his birthday song.

Program: Lion Pete Copes introduced no one - his program did not show up, so, as noted - we had a long TT session.

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Paul Little and Pete Copes (Pete donated his $5.00 to the Tailtwister fund).

BLUE TICKET: Lion Bryan Self did not pick the Queen of Hearts.

Attendance Prize: Lion Raye Cook was not present.

MAJOR PROJECTS: Louisiana Lions Childrens’ Camp, LSU Lions’ Eye Foundation, Northwest Louisiana Eye Bank, Louisiana Association for the Blind, Northwood High School Leo Club, Scholarships for Northwood and Green Oaks High Schools
