NOTES/Remarks:

Big Bass Rodeo is coming up in latter September. We will have the boat here June 20-22 and we will need members to sell lots of $1.00 reaffle tickets – probably at Lowe’s Home Center on Mansfield Road. Lion Gloria Kennedy is asking for someone to “head-up” getting volunteers to sell the tickets. Everyone should make an effort to attend the Rodeo.
Lion Craig Kennedy is asking the club to give an additional donation to both the Eye Foundation and the Childrens’ Camp. He noted that we have about $18,000 in the project account which is not yet committed.

Tailtwisting: Lion TT Bill Archambeau went into action with Lion Paul Little “passing the pot.” Several Lions were fined for being late: Lions Pete Copes, Oscar Smith, Larry LaBorde and Alan Yokem. The TT provided an insight into the aging process. Then onto many entertaining trivia questions and lots of fines were collected.

Program: Lion Craig Kennedy introduced Sgt. Larry Wise of the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. Larry has been with the Sheriff’s Office for 23 years and in White Collar Crimes since 1985. The subject was identity theft. A combined White Collar Crime Task Force consisting of Sheriff’s and Shreveport Police detectives was formed last year and they have made many successful arrests. An informative handout was given and here are a few notes from today’s meeting:

Review a recent credit report on your business to ensure unauthorized credit in your name has not been given;
Don’t drop your mail in trashcans where anyone can easily retrieve it and use the information.

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Patricia Schwartz and Craig Kennedy.

BLUE TICKET: Lion Scott Harkey did not pick the Queen of Hearts.

Attendance Prize: Lion Rubye Davitt was present and got $10.00
