today (5/22) was the final opportunity to nominate from the floor. 

the deciding vote will be held during the general meeting on may 29th.

 

Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Bill Archambeau went into action with Lion Paul Little “passing the pot.”  Several Lions were fined for being late: Lions Pete Copes, Oscar Smith, Larry LaBorde and Alan Yokem. The TT provided an insight into the aging process.  Then onto many entertaining trivia questions and lots of fines were collected.

 

Program:  Lion Craig Kennedy introduced Sgt. Larry Wise of the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. Larry has been with the Sheriff’s Office for 23 years and in White Collar Crimes since 1985.  The subject was identity theft.   A combined White Collar Crime Task Force consisting of Sheriff’s and Shreveport Police detectives was formed last year and they have made many successful arrests.  An informative handout was given and here are a few notes from today’s meeting:  

 

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Patricia Schwartz and Craig Kennedy.

 

BLUE TICKET:  Lion  Scott Harkey did not pick the Queen of Hearts.

 

Attendance Prize: Lion Rubye Davitt was present and got $10.00


 

MAJOR PROJECTS: Louisiana Lions Childrens’ Camp, LSU Lions’ Eye Foundation, Northwest Louisiana Eye Bank, Louisiana Association for the Blind, Northwood High School Leo Club, Scholarships for Northwood and Green Oaks High Schools
