The installation banquet will be on June 26th at 6:30 p.m. at Don’s Seafood. We need a headcount to President Ball and remember if you commit to it, then you will be responsible to pay whether or not you attend. The cost is $17.00 per person AND you can order from a menu.
Big Bass Rodeo is coming up in latter September. We will have the boat here this weekend – Friday, June 20th thru Sunday June 22nd. We need members to sell lots of $1.00 raffle tickets at Lowe’s Home Center on Mansfield Road. Lions Craig and Gloria are asking for volunteers to sell the tickets. If you haven’t signed up, just show up between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. WE NEED YOU!!!!!!!!!

Tailtwisting: Lion TT Bill Archambeau went into action with side-kick Lion Gabby Garbarino as POTBOY. The Prez was fined (as usual) for starting the meeting late (yadayadayadayada). 1stVP Reeks was fined for wearing a Past President pin on his lapel – PDG Jimmie Giles was the instigator of the plot – both were fined…. Editor Mike Middleton was recognized for being able to drink tea, talk on the cell phone and shake hands all the time – a demonstration was ordered. Who Wants to be a Millionaire questions based on TV Guide Trivia took up the rest of the session.
Program: Lion Stuart Reeks was again today’s program chairman. He introduced Mr. Barrow Peacock. Barrow is a local self-employed businessman managing real estate and investments. He is also a candidate for State Representative to replace Representative Buddy Shaw, who has decided not to run. Barrow is a graduate of SMU with a Business Degree and an MBA from LSU-Baton Rouge. He is a Rotarian and a member of the First United Methodist Church. You can call Barrow at 318.868.3623.
Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Robert Schwartz and Mike Middleton.
BLUE TICKET: Lion Scott Harkey chose the King of Spades.
Attendance Prize: Lion Dan DELANEY tried to leave out early and his name was selected – but he didn’t have on his badge when he returned to the room – no payout.
