2004-2005’s President Stuart Reeks was then sworn-in.  In his initial speech, he noted Groucho Marks statement: “I don’t know if I want to be a member of a club that wants me as a member” – Stuart “humbled and honored” enjoys his membership and participation in the Club. He will go against the grain of today’s youth mentality: “WIIFM-What’s in it for me” -- this mentality is defeating the needs of all service groups.  He will work to meet-and-exceed the Club’s expectations.  He noted how much an example he has to follow as he and Ed Ball are both CPAs, and Ed made it to the Club meeting on April 15th’s Tax Day.  He wants to seek different ways to increase membership and membership participation.  We should renew the interest of members who do not regularly attend meetings.  He will have an “open-door” policy.

Outgoing President Ed Ball then placed the President Pin onto Lion Stuart Reek’s lapel.  Then, outgoing President Ball had the Past-President Pin placed onto his lapel by his wife, Michelle.
