BOARD MEETING NEXT WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2007

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Special Presentation:  PDG Bonnie Little had many kind, deserving remarks for Lion Nita Byrd.  PDG Little also presented Nita a Melvin Jones plaque for her untiring work and dedication to Lionism.  Thanks to PDG B. Little and to (our soon-to-be) Lion Nita Byrd.

Tailtwisting:

Tailtwister Lion Bill Archambeau had Lion Bryan Self passing “pot”,,,,oops, I meant “the pot”.  Several were fined for being late; several for “minor-to-major-minor infractions” including Lion B. Byrd’s flubbing the “order of the day” for the Pledge; and then Lion Bill launched into a few jokes, a few tardees and entertainment-related trivia-items.

PROGRAM:  Lion Gloria Lynch introduced Dr. Todd Thoma.  Dr. Thoma told many points he considers important for the upcoming Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office race.  Due to “politico-related-agenda” restrictions; I’ll only ask you to view www.thomaforcoroner.com.  In the interest of the fairness-doctrine, I “googled” Dr. Marius McFarland and did not get any campaign-related websites.

Ticket Drawings: The $5.00 ticket winners were: Lions Hubert Gleason and Russ Peterson.

BLUE TICKET:  Lion President Merle Gore failed to pull the winning Queen.

ATTENDANCE: Lion Robert Schwartz was not here to claim the attendance prize.
