ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ø Lion Cindy Gleason announced her engagement to Mr. Neil Johnson, local photographer and writer. Congratulations to the both of them and God Bless!!!
Tailtwisting:
Tailtwister Lion Bill Archambeau had Lion Oscar Smith passing the pot. Late: Lions Scott Harkey, Gloria Lynch, Pete Copes, Kevin Anderson and Ed Ball. Then, he launched into questions of trivia.
PROGRAM: Lion Trey Gleason introduced Mr. Royal Alexander, candidate for Louisiana Attorney General (www.royalalexander.org). Royal’s family is from Shreveport. He is one of twelve siblings. To this point, the only known opponent will be the incumbent AG. Royal wants to be a new voice in state government “I am running to end the ‘good old boy’ politics of the past and to provide new and effective leadership to the Attorney General’s office.” Areas of focus will be drugs (methamphetamine) particularly, in the rural areas; crimes concerning the elderly and thirdly, strengthening the fight on internet-related crimes.
