Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Archambeau got a few for being late and then he did some relatively easy questions.  It was the usual great time.

PROGRAM: Lion Ed Ball introduced Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Jeff Victory.  Justice Victory is from Shreveport and attended Byrd High School graduating in 1963.  He is married to Dr. Nancy Clark Victory.  He attended Tulane University and received his Juris Doctorate Degree in Law.  In his younger years, Jeff worked at the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant and has also worked in oil production on pipelines and as a roughneck.  His family attends Broadmoor Baptist Church and he is the director of the High School Seniors Class.  He was elected as a Caddo Parish First Judicial District Court Judge in 1981 before taking office in 1990 as a Second Circuit Court of Appeals Judge.  He has served in the Louisiana National Guard’s Special Forces.

He started with a good attorney joke.  His re-election as a Justice will be decided on September 18.  He has one opponent.  His area for campaigning includes most of the area west of I-49 down through Louisiana.  Jeff gave his thoughts on gay marriage.  He has served as part of the Judicial College.  He listens to cases involving attorneys who “mess up”.  Jeff’s victory should hopefully be determined on the September 18th meeting.
