VISITING:  NEWS – NEWS – NEWS 32 TOTAL MEMBERS AND GUESTS HERE TODAY.   Ms. E.D. Harkey with Dad, Lion Scott Harkey; PDG Hubert Gleason introduced PDG Ed Kneipp; PDG Paul Little brought Martha “Red”; PDG Bryan Self introduced possible new member, Mr. Terry Pipes; Alan Yokem brought probable new member Mr. Joe Partain; Lion Oscar brought Mr. LaWarren Brown

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Archambeau had Lion Paul Little passing the pot.  A few were fined for tardiness.  Lion Mike Middleton proudly reminded the Club that the 31st marks his 1st anniversary with wife, Ellen.  Lion President Schwartz has made a wardrobe offer to Lion Robbie Raiford if she has increased attendance and brings in a new member.  He then launched into the Shreveport-Bossier trivia questions.

 

PROGRAM:   Lion PDG Bryan Self introduced from Hill Brothers Construction and Engineering Mr.  Gary Roberson, Asst. Project Manager and  Paul Leonards, Project Manager  .  They enlightened the club as to the improvements underway on KCS property in the local area.  KCS is investing $50 million and up in order to minimize the impact that they have on vehicle traffic.  They covered plans for new railways, roadways and related infrastructure.

           

Ticket Drawings: The $5.00 red ticket winners were: Lions Jimmie Giles and E.D. Harkey.

 

BLUE TICKET:  Lion Merle Gore failed to pull the winning Queen.

 

ATTENDANCE: Lion Hubert Gleason was here to claim the $65.00 attendance prize.
