¨      We will be doing a project at North Highlands Elementary School on Monday, August 15.  Probably last about an hour and half.  Details should be forthcoming from President Schwartz and Jerry Paige.

Tailtwisting:  A blast from the past as PDG Hubert Gleason filled in as Tailtwister today.  David Smith was the Great One's Pot Passer.  The TT fined VP Oscar Smith for being late when he had the program.  He fined many others for various offenses included his wife, Libby, for not introducing the Pledge correctly.  This brought up the question of who was Lion Libby's sponsor.  Hmmm.

PROGRAM: VP Oscar Smith introduced Larry Raymond who is the Director of Parks for Caddo Parish.  He discussed all of the Parks in which the Parish maintains including the old bridge in Mooringsport, Walter B. Jacobs Park, Earl Williamson Park in Vivian and the area where Chimp Haven is located.  He also said they are trying to get funding for a new boat launch onto Twelve Mile Bayou up near the Caddo Lake Dam.  Good program.

Ticket Drawings: The $5.00 red ticket winners were: Lions Alan Yokem and Libby Gleason.
