NOTES/Remarks:

  • Between ticket sales at GM and at Lowes on Mansfield Road Lion Bud Byrd has racked up over $2000 in Bass Boat Ticket Sales.
  • September 9th – 11th -- The 8-L Fall Conference is at the Holiday Inn – Bossier
  • September 24th – The Big Bass Rodeo – Plan to attend and maybe a little work
  • Lion’s Russ Peterson, and Stuart Reeks were presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.

 

Tailtwisting:  Stand in Tail Twister, Lion Hubert Gleason, collected fines for various infractions, including Lion Kevin Anderson’s tardy arrival after his speaker arrived on time.

 

 

Program:  Lion Kevin Anderson introduced Henry Bass with Centerpoint, a referral agency for social services in the northwest region of Louisiana. Mr. Bass discussed Centerpoint’s “211” telephone referral service.  He presented Centepoint’s ten greatest needs, rent assistance, gas assistance, water assistance, electric assistance, mortgage assistance, ID cards, prescription assistance, bus fare/ gas Money, clothing, and emergency food.
