NOTES/Remarks:
Tailtwisting: Lion TT
Bill Archambeau had Lion Oscar Smith waving the pot. Birthday
songs were sung to Lions Libby Gleason, Bud Byrd and Bryan Self.
Congratulations for matrimonial anniversaries to Lions Bill Archambeau
and Dot and Oscar Smith and Willette. The club’s
official Lion Steve Davitt-set clock was noted as showing Prez Ball
with a “trifle” late start. Today’s Who Wants To Be
a Millionaire questions were at the $250,000 level and were a bit tough -
Lion Stuart Reeks is a popular lifeline, unless of course, you are
speaking sports questions - that is Lion Oscar Smith.
Program: Lion PDG Bryan Self introduced an all time favorite Mr. Bob Griffin. Bob gave some
updates on some locally popular sports teams - The Saints, Cowboys, Grambling
and LSU Tiger. He specifically commented on last week’s LA Tech vs.
Miami game. Tech, other than a foolish several turnover, really didn’t
play that bad. Thanks Bryan and
Bob for a great program. (Editor’s
note: I had to go to a sheriff’s office meeting and had to leave early,
so the details are few. Also, my thanks to Lion Jimmie Giles for allowing
me as his guest to the game).
Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were:
Lions Gene Bacon and Rubye Davitt.
BLUE TICKET: Lion Charlie
Smith again failed to draw the correct Queen.
Attendance Prize: Lion Scott Harkey was
not in attendance so the pot is growing.
