Opening: Presiding: President Lion Stuart Reeks; Prayer: Lion Chaplain Jim Peck; Pledge: Lion Merle Gore; Song: Lion Jerry Paige and Lion Jimmie Giles sounding the cymbals.

PRAYERS: The Club and all of its members who were not present. Lion Harold Wright's wife Marie passed away lets remember their family.

VISITING: Lion Ed Ball introduced Joe Byley who was invited by our speaker.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

¨ Charter night for Shreveport Central Club – September 20^th at 7:00 at the Forbing YMCA. $10 per person, casual attire

¨ The BIG BASS RODEO will be Saturday, September 25^th. Please support it.

¨ Chicken Charbroil – cook on October 7^th; deliver on October 8^th. Need all Lions & Family & Friends to come & work.

Tailtwisting: Lion TT Archambeau had PDG Paul Little passing the pot. PDG Bud Byrd fined for getting older and all sang happy birthday. Lion Tailtwister continued on Shreveport/Bossier trivia with little to no success.

PROGRAM: Lion Bud Byrd introduced Weslaco, Texas Lion David Allen with his “Heart of Love Ministry”. He has traveled this year through 30 states and has been a traveling evangelist for 30 years. He lead off with some music and then discussed “Freedom”. All Americans should know their 4 freedoms, i.e. speech, worship, from want and from fear. He reminded us that is what America is about and encouraged everyone to exercise their right to vote. This country has been a continuous blessing. Keep our eye on our freedom .

BLUE TICKET: Lion Steve Davitt failed to pull the Queen’s pot.
