PRAYERS:  The Club and all of its members who were not present. 

 

NEXT WEEK:  A surprise speaker will be here.

 

VISITING:  PDG Paul Little had his wife, “Red” – Martha.  Visiting with Lion Gloria Kennedy was Mr. Brian Custer.  We had about 30 all total in attendance… Great Job,NSLC!!!

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

¨      LionS merle gore AND Mike Middleton have Chicken Charbroil tickets available.  PLEASE SELL MORE THAN WHAT WE DID LAST YEAR.  ALSO, WE NEED MEMBERS OR THEIR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES TO HELP WITH THE OCTOBER 7TH COOKING AND THE OCTOBER 8TH DELIVERY DATE.  lion mike can be contacted or receive messages on a 24/7 basis at 318.681.0630…  thanks for all your help and support – i appreciate all anyone can do on this major project.

¨      Thanks to Lion pdg jimmie giles for his assistance in the new shreveport central lions club.  NSLC was well represented.

¨      The BIG BASS RODEO will be Saturday, September 25th.  Please support it.

¨      The Zone 1-A Meeting will be held next Thursday (September 30th) at 7:00 p.m. in the NSLC meeting room.  Everyone is invited to attend.

¨      The Isle of Capri Hotel will be the site of the 8-L Fall Conference during the October 22-24th weekend.

 

Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Archambeau had Lion Oscar Smith holding the pot.   Lions Jenny and Trey Moore received a belated birthday song.  The TT then launched into Shreveport Trivia questions.  It was lots of fun.

 

PROGRAM: Lion PDG Hubert Gleason introduced Ms. Helen Adger and Ms. Kathy Jackson.  They are affiliated with the Red River Crossroads Historical Society and Cultural Association.  Those in attendance were privileged to receive a brochure telling the history of much of North Caddo Parish.  Their program also involved telling lots of history of the northern parish.  A Heritage and Harvest Self-guided Driving Tour will be conducted this Saturday, September 25th.  The tour hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and costs $10.  It looks very interesting and a great way to spend an autumn day.   Proceeds support the Association.

 

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Trey Gleason and Bryan Self.   

 

BLUE TICKET:  Lion Steve Davitt failed to pull the Queen for the $190.00 pot.

 

ATTENDANCE: Lion Matt Delaney was not here to claim the attendance prize.
