Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Archambeau had Lion Bryan Self holding the pot.  A few petty fines and then he launched into the Shreveport-Bossier Trivia questions.

PROGRAM: Lion Merle Gore introduced Ms. Sandy Franks, Chief Executive Officer local Girl Scouts.  She is a retiree of the U.S. Air Force.  As a Master Sergeant (1st Sergeant) with 10 years, she was the first woman to head up a combat crew in Florida.  Sandy has been very involved in local community matters.  She spoke of the Girl Scouts mission.  She represents 10 parishes and over 2,000 girls are in the Scouts.  Girl Scouts teaches a girl how to be a woman – how to channel their abilities to positive aspects which help them as individuals and the community in which they live.  Teamwork, as you may expect, is very much emphasized.  They also have a camp – 140 acres near Arcadia.  I personally don’t hear much about the Girl Scouts happenings, so, I learned a lot of good information about the well-rounded program they provide for young ladies.  Many local community people are former Scouts: Judge Gay Gaskins, Gwen Campbell, Lydia Jackson,

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lions Merle Gore and Steve Davitt.

BLUE TICKET:  Lion Hubert Gleason failed to pull the Queen for the $220.50 pot.

ATTENDANCE: Lion Matt Delaney was not here to claim the attendance prize.
