NOTES/Remarks:

 

Tailtwisting:  Lion TT Bill Archambeau had Lion Bryan Self as the pot-walker.  Those in attendance were recognized as noted: Lion Matt Delaney for his birthday and for just being at a meeting; Club anniversaries: Lions Larry LaBorde, Russ Peterson; for matrimonial anniversaries: Lions Patricia Schwartz (and Robert), Matt Delaney.  Then the TT went into his Who Wants questions.   TailTwister Archambeau kept remarking as to how he believed his questions were “simple” – to which Lion Bud Byrd asked to Lion Archambeau  “then why do you (BA1) have to keep looking at the back of the question cards to check what the answer is – a great laugh from the crowd.   A real fun time was had by all.

 

Program:  Lion Larry LaBorde introduced the speaker and told of the speaker’s family – Lion Larry LaBorde.  Larry presented “Chicken Dollars” and several other of his articles in his History of Money series.  Most of the articles can be read on the back pages of Lion Larry’s web site at www.silvertrading.net.

 

Ticket Drawings: The red ticket winners were: Lion Ed Stevenson and prospective member Ms. Elena Corley.

 

BLUE TICKET:  Lion Gene Bacon failed to draw the Queen of Hearts

 

Attendance Prize: Lion John Manno, Sr. was not present to collect the pot – again.

 

MAJOR PROJECTS: Louisiana Lions Childrens’ Camp, LSU Lions’ Eye Foundation, Northwest Louisiana Eye Bank, Louisiana Association for the Blind, Northwood High School Leo Club, Scholarships for Northwood and Green Oaks High Schools
