Opening:  Presiding: President Merle Gore; Prayer: Lion Hubert Gleason; Pledge: Lion Paul Little; Song: Lion Libby Gleason, Lion Jimmie Giles sounding the cymbals.

 

PRAYERS:  All members and their families. 

 

VISITING:  Lion Alan Yokem introduced Mr. Merrill Wautlet; Lion Oscar Smith was accompanied by Ann Holt; Lion Gloria Lynch brought her hubby, Billy.

 

BOARD MEETING WEDNESDAY 10, 2007 AT 12:00 NOON.

 

NEXT WEEK’S PROGRAM:  PDG Hubert Gleason will present Shreveport City Judge Bill Kelly.

Tailtwisting: Lion TT Archambeau used Lion Paul Little as the pot-guy.  The TT did Louisiana trivia questions.  A few late-comers were fined.

           

PROGRAM:  Lion Mike Middleton introduced long-time friend and fellow-crime-fighter, Chief Henry Whitehorn, Shreveport Police Department.  Henry told of initiatives he has going on in reducing crime.  He also answered questions.  It was another great program.

 

Ticket Drawings: The $5.00 ticket winners were: Lion Mark Mobley and visitor Ann Holt.

 

BLUE TICKET:  Lion Trey Gleason failed to pull the winning Queen.

 

ATTENDANCE: Lion Ed Ball was here to claim the attendance prize.

 

MAJOR PROJECTS: Louisiana Lions Childrens’ Camp, LSU Lions’ Eye Foundation, Northwest Louisiana Eye Bank, Louisiana Association for the Blind, Northwood High School Leo Club, Scholarships for Northwood and Green Oaks High Schools
