Opening:  Presiding: President Patricia Schwartz; Prayer: Lion Jimmie Giles; Pledge: Lion Stuart Reeks; Song: Lion Alan Yokem, Lion Jimmie Giles sounding the cymbals.

 

PRAYERS:  Lion Mike Middleton’s father-in-law, Dennis Tippett passed last Saturday following triple-bypass.  All members and their families received a special mention in the prayer.

 

VISITING:  Lion Scott Harkey was accompanied by his daughter, E.D. Harkey.  Lion Alan Yokem was accompanied by Lion Bob Crosby (Shreveport Central) and Major Andy Bloom, USAF. 

 

NEXT WEEK’S PROGRAM:  Mr. Don Walker of The Shreveport Times.

 

INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBER:  You may now call him Lion Joe Partain.  Lion Alan Yokem is his sponsor.  PDG Jimmie Giles performed the induction.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Region Cubsight Chairman PP Robert Schwartz showed the Club the plaque he was on his way to present to the Bossier Noon Club.  Their club’s name is the only one on the Region’s Cubsight.
  • Lion Jim Peck and others screened 51 children at First Baptist Blanchard.   Another one is planned at the same venue on November 1st.
  • Chicken Charbroil It’s over and I need your money ASAP --- Thanks.. Lion Mike
  • The Annual Christmas Lions Meeting will be on the night of December 22nd. 
  • The November Board Meeting will be November 9th at noon.

Tailtwisting:    Tailtwister Bill Archambeau for sure did a good job – sorry I wasn’t here to witness it.

 

PROGRAM:   Lion PDG Hubert Gleason told of the recent trip he and Lion Libby did to Alaska.

 

Ticket Drawings: The $5.00 red ticket winners were: Lions  and .

 

BLUE TICKET:  Lion ??? failed to pull the winning Queen  -- next week $208.00+.

 

ATTENDANCE: Lion ?????? was not here to claim the $15.00 attendance prize.
