By International Charter any funds raised from the community
through projects must go directly to the projects supported by Lionism. No
such funds will be used for administrative purposes for the club.
North Shreveport Lions Club supports many community projects.
-We've adopted Cherokee Park Elementary School
-Most recently we've contributed to the Veterans Memorial located on the Clyde
Fant Parkway.
Our three primary on-going projects
include:
-Northwest Louisiana Eye Bank- The Eye Bank's staff
procures corneas and other tissues of the eye.
-Louisiana Lions Camp- The Louisiana Lions Camp is
a non-profit residential summer camp, owned and operated by the Louisiana Lions
League for Crippled Children, Inc. The League is funded by the Lions Clubs of
Louisiana, Multiple District 8. Louisiana Lions Camp is free for boys and girls
of Louisiana with Mental and Physical Challenges, Diabetes, and Pulmonary
Disorders.

Fundraising Projects:
- Annual Chicken Charbroil
Chairman: Lion Past President Robert Schwartz
The Chicken Charbroil is an annual event held on the second Friday of October
of each year.
- Rose Sale Project
Chairman: Lion Vice President Max Lipscomb
The first Friday of each May the NSLC conducts a Rose Day Sale.
